After Ramadan

Ramadan is the month of fast for Muslims. According to Islam this is the month when Muslims devote themselves to god by praying and visiting mosque. According to Muslims the ninth month of the Muslim calendar when the full moon appears Ramadan fast begins.


It is the Ramadan month when Muslims believe that they are in the best of their spirits. During Ramadan Muslims have food twice a day. once before the sun rises and one after the sun sets. During the daylight they are fasting. Delicious food is prepared for the night meal and the next morning again set to fast.

After Ramadan means what happens once the month of ramdan, fasting month gets over. When the fasting month is over then comes the Eid-ul-Fitr.once the Ramadan is over Muslims look for another full moon to celebrate Eid-ul-fitr, which means happiness to break the fast.

Eid-Ul-Fitr
Eid-ul-fitr is the festival of happiness for Muslims. Early in the morning on this day they visit mosque to pray. Once they come back home there is a get together of all the friends and relatives. They wish each other by saying Eid Mubarak and creating an ambience of happiness. Muslims are generally dressed in the clothes, which they get stitched much before to wear on this day. Children usually have a leisure time on this day because they get perks and gifts from all their near and dear ones as a token of love. The best part on this occasion is the delicious and tempting food cooked. Some of the most common food items cooked on Eid-ul-fitr are:

  • Lamb

  • Goat

  • Spicy vegetables

  • Mrouziya

  • Tabuli

  • Biryani

  • Mutton korma

  • Saiwaiyan, which is eaten as a desert. A lot of dry fruits and milk with sugar is added to increase the taste of this desert.

  • Another desert can be the candy made of groundnuts, honey sesame seeds and grated cheese.




  • So, a lot of preparations are to be done to plan a good Eid-ul-fitr this year, so start right now.
